John Krasinski Brings the Sexy in Epic Lip-Sync Battle

john-krasinski-lip-synching-fallon

John Krasinski lip-synching “Teenage Dream” might be the hottest thing I’ve seen in a while. And when he threw off his jacket during Boyz II Men, I may have actually blushed.

-If you want to keep crushing on John (who doesn’t?), check out this gushy interview with Jenna Fischer on getting cast with him.

-Did Liam Hemsworth‘s brothers stage an intervention to try to get him to end his engagement with Miley Cyrus? I wonder if they made a banner

Kristen Wiig’s SNL promos are very promising.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin annoyed their neighbours by building a 9 ft. gate around their property — even though the legal limit is 6 ft. On the plus side, the gate is probably made of 100% fair trade, locally-sourced organic birds’ nests.

-Meanwhile, Gwyneth‘s transformation into a tech guru is nearly complete.

Will Smith continues to stoke rumours of an open relationship with Jada by saying in a recent interview, “Marriage cannot be a prison.” Are they just messing with us at this point?!

-I kind of love that all of New Girl star Jake Johnson‘s interviews seem to involve day-drinking.

-Meanwhile, check out the many faces of Nick Miller.

-This is a great coat on Blake Lively! The pink jacket is hot, too.

Marion Cotillard and Gary Oldman show up in David Bowie’s new music video to dance creepily and indulge in somereligious symbolism.

Rachel Leigh Cook is expecting a baby with the guy who plays Elijah on The Vampire Diaries.

Baz Luhrmann is thinking about doing a Hamlet movie, which wouldn’t have sounded like a good idea even before The Great Gatsby. But seeing as that movie is getting slammed by critics (38% on RottenTomatoes and dropping fast!), it now sounds like an even worse idea.

-I really enjoyed GQ’s interview with Daft Punk. “Get Lucky” is my current jam.

Nicholas Hoult was spotted in New York yesterday with Riley Keough, dashing our dreams of a Jennifer Lawrence reconciliation.

Robin Williams is the latest to jump aboard the Kim Kardashian hate train, tweeting an insult about her MET Gala dress.

-At least he showed a photo of the dress. Vogue.com awkwardly cropped her out of their photo gallery.

Cory Monteith is looking happy and healthy on a post-rehab vacation with Lea Michele.

-The darkest timeline is returning for Community‘s season (series) finale. Last week’s episode may have been my favourite of the season; let’s hope they don’t screw this up.

-I remember having a hell of a lot of fun when I saw Hot Tub Time Machine in the theatre. I think I’d enjoy the sequel even more if Adam Scott took over as the lead.

The Lizzie Bennet Diaries was just voted the best webseries ever! (I may have contributed a vote or two…)

-Speaking of webseries, the new Lonely Island music video is wrapped between an episode of Between Two Ferns, with host Zach Galifianakis interviewing James Franco.

Zac Efron went shirtless on a movie set and the interwebs exploded.

Britney Spears is the latest star to evacuate as wildfires continue to rage.

-It’s a big day for new movie trailers. First up, we finally get a (very brief) look at George Clooney and Sandra Bullock‘s new movie, Gravity.

-The first trailer for Lee DanielsThe Butler also landed. Oprah!

Tom Hanks plays the captain of a ship hijacked by Somali pirates in Paul Greengrass‘ Captain Phillips.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost enjoy another apocalyptic pub outing in Edgar Wright’s The World’s End (not to be confused with Seth Rogen and James Franco‘s This Is The End).

Mariah Carey Plays Cinderella at Disneyland Wedding Vow Renewal

mariah-carey-wedding-photo

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon renewed their vows at Disneyland and the Vines she released from it are amazing. She tweeted some photos, too. (If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you’ll know that I usually avoid linking to photos/videos that have celebrity children in them, but she obviously has no problem with you seeing dem babies.) She also really wants you to see how it took three assistants to get her into that dress!

Amanda Bynes just tweeted a photo of herself in a bra with the caption “I weigh 135, I’ve gained weight! I need to be 100 lbs!” Sigh.

Kevin Spacey is giving Kelly Clarkson a run for her money as Hollywood’s best photobomber.

Courteney Cox‘s face in these pictures is making my soul ache.

-I wish the Breaking Bad Lego video game was really a thing.

-This is how few f*cks James Franco gives about those gay rumours. He posted a photo of his S&M-themed birthday cake, which he followed up with a photo of him in a suit captioned “same sex marriage.” (I think he just messing with us, bt dubs. He was with Ahna O’Reilly for five years, after all.)

-Rapper Danny Brown didn’t miss a beat when a female fan jumped onstage in the middle of his concert to…um…pleasure him.

Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender are teaming up for a new film adaptation of Macbeth and I want this going into my eyeballs RIGHT NOW.

-In other casting news, Woody Allen will shoot a new movie in France with Emma Stone and Colin Firth.

Tara Reid just accused Lindsay Lohan of being a mean girl.

-Is Jennifer Aniston delaying her wedding until Brangelina gets theirs out of the way? Anyone else think no one is more invested in keeping those three people tangled up in each other’s lives than themselves?

-I love the outfit Zoe Saldana wore to the Star Trek photocall in Berlin.

Chris Brown actually thought it would be a good idea to participate in a new song called ‘Beat It’ because he’s an idiot.

-Here are 27 reasons why you’re better than Carrie Bradshaw.

-Also, Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t own a cellphone any more.

Goldie Hawn joined daughter Kate Hudson for Almay’s Mother’s Day campaign.

-Now that we’ve seemed to enter the angry, “I contributed to a Kickstarter and all I got was this lousy t-shirt” phase, NPR’s new Kickstarter campaign that tracks every stage of a t-shirt’s creation is even more amazing.

-Tomorrow night is the season finale of Parks and Recreation. Check out a clip here.

-Speaking of Parks and Rec, here are photos of Amy Poehler, Rob Corddry and Tina Fey having fun in the good ol’ days of UCB.

Lil Wayne has officially apologized (well, sort of) for his Emmett Till lyric.

-Also, Lil Wayne was hospitalized and released again.

Scandal’Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn took a history test and did surprisingly well.

-Mountain Dew just pulled Tyler the Creator’s commercial amid accusations of racism.

-I’m loving the new Arrested Development poster. Between this, news that Busy Phillips will guest star, and the new issue of EW, I’m softening my “I don’t need to order Netflix” stance.

New Girl was great last night (and not just because they soundtracked the major Nick/Jess development with my fave Ellie Goulding song). It also gets bonus points for Schmidt‘s “David Foster Wallace, where is the sex?” line.  I really liked this article on how the show has gotten smarter, sexier and less annoying this season. “When Nick was the level-headed roommate and Jess often came off like an alien from a polka-dotted planet, the trick was to make it seem like he wasn’t a grown man hooking up with an intellectual 12-year-old because she was pretty and simple.”

-Meanwhile, here’s our first look at Taylor Swift in the May 14 finale. Is she really that much taller than Zooey Deschanel?

-Just in time for Zach Galifianakis‘ hosting gig on SNL this weekend, The Hollywood Reporter has released an oral history of The Hangover.  Did you know that Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Rudd, Lindsay Lohan and Jonah Hill almost starred in it?

Amanda Seyfried has replaced Liv Tyler as the face of Givenchy.

Beyonce singled out Fergie‘s daughter Princess Eugenie during her recent concert — even though Beyonce had no idea who she was.

-Also, Beyonce made some diva-ish demands about her dressing room when she was playing London’s O2.

-Speaking of divas, Lindsay Lohan has finally picked her rehab facility and finished packing. She says she’s bringing 270 outfits — for 90 days.

-I like that Jake Gyllenhaal hangs out with End of Watch costar America Ferrera.

Miley Cyrus keeps giving interviews about Liam Hemsworth, which seems like a really bad idea when your relationship is teetering on a cliff.

Community’s Danny Pudi helped a fan hook up ’cause he’s just that nice.

Kristen Stewart‘s friends look exactly like you’d expect Kristen Stewart’s friends to look like.

Grimes turns down Steve Buscemi’s invitation to Easter brunch with Vampire Weekend in this new video.

-Two new promos for Dexter’s last season have landed.

-The new international trailer for Mortal Instruments: City of Bones has dropped. Needs more Nathan from Misfits.

Rihanna On Chris Brown: “If It’s a Mistake, It’s My Mistake”

rihanna-chris-brown-rolling-stone

Rihanna defends her relationship with Chris Brown in the new issue of Rolling Stone, saying “You think you know, but it’s different now.” Commence global eye-roll…now!

-After a lot of drama (which involved pretending to be ill while really shopping with her mother in NYC), Lindsay Lohan finally dragged her ass to court today, where the judge told her (and her ridiculous new lawyer) that her probabation remains revoked and that her trial will start March 18. But hey, she arrived in a Hummer sporting the license plates “IMTRYNG,” so there’s that.

Ashley Judd and Dario Franchitti announced their separation last night, and she quickly tried to reinforce the “amicable” bit by following up the announcement with a sweet tweet.

George Clooney continues to be the dreamiest dreamboat, paying the tab of the guy eating next to him because he thought his table was being too loud. (The recipient btw, thought George‘s group was behaving “in a very cultivated manner” and didn’t even notice him.)

-Oh goodie. Ke$ha is debuting an MTV reality series in April.

-Oh goodie, part deux. Justin Timberlake is performing at the Grammys.

Will Smith and Jay-Z are producing a modern day remake of Annie (what?), but rumours that it’ll star Willow Smith aren’t true (whew!) and it’ll be directed by Easy A‘s Will Gluck (yay!). That just gave me so many feels.

-There will be an Entourage movie, for some reason. At least Adrian Grenier seems pretty happy about it.

Jason London didn’t just drop some homophobic slurs in a cop car, he also dropped a deuce!

-I love this photo of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell snapping pictures of Kate Hudson‘s new Ann Taylor poster. Such proud parents!

How I Met Your Mother has been renewed for a final season. (I can’t believe they lured Jason Segel into one more year, but at least it’s being put out of its misery.)

-Just in case we momentarily forgot, Cate Blanchett reminds us that she’s total perfection with this Armani Privé dress.

-It it wrong that I was kind of impressed by J.C. Chasez’s cover of The Lumineers’ “Hey Ho”?

-Sweet! The Strokes just announced a new album called Comedown Machine, coming on March 26.

-These photos of Nicole Kidman palling around with Russell Crowe at the airport are kind of adorable.

Lucy Liu got a pie in the face after playing an especially messy game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” on Fallon.

Bradley Cooper’s abs caused women to “literally fall off their bikes” at a recent spinning class. Since when did the world turn into a Cathy comic strip?

-Lots of Community goodness today! I got the screener for the premiere (haven’t watched it yet, but I’m tingly with anticipation), plus the show’s writers and Joel McHale will be participating in AMAs Feb. 6th and 7th, respectively. Meanwhile, here’s a clip from the Community premiere.

-Speaking of sitcoms, I really liked Vulture’s piece defending New Girl as the best sitcom on network TV right now. It’s certainly getting there (and might have an even better shot at the title soon, considering the uncertain futures of Happy Endings, Parks and Rec and Community). Plus, last night’s episode was pure gold. (Click here to read an interview with the show’s creator about how this jaw-dropping moment almost didn’t happen.) The show has gotten markedly better, especially when you compare it to say, The Mindy Project, which has become increasingly erratic.
